Unravel’s back on this month and there’s still one spot open for a ‘wild’ story. That’s the theme for this edition of the storytelling event that’s on for August 31 at Smash. Info on how to submit your own mad tale, or just how to attend, after the jump.

*** Unravel, organized by Clara Davis of District, has been gaining a lot of traction in the expat community. It’s a storytelling platform that hosts a monthly live show with a line-up of 6 storytellers who share tales inspired by a common theme. The last Unravel in July, was done in collaboration with Top 5 and focused on the theme ‘When I Grow Up.’ The crowd was sizable and the speakers were engaging. It had a very warm, good-wholesome-community-fun vibe going on. This month’s theme is ‘Wild’ and so far Clara’s got 5 storytellers on board. That means there's a space open for you. If you would like to submit a story, email unravelshanghai@gmail.com. Always experimenting, this month’s event will include live music from DJ Skinny Brown aka Sal Haque aka author of 'Dead Beat Dad' (he's also one of the storytellers). If you’re looking to spectate, drinks starts from 6.30pm and the show at 7.30pm. Music starts around 10pm. Free entry. Photocred: Artwork by Beryl Chung
