Shanghai Fashion Week, Commune Market Returns, and More Events this Week

Community Chest: Your bi-weekly dose of feel good community events happening around town.

The Spring iteration of SFW to take over Xintiandi from now till end of April. Each day has around eight shows, (from around 1pm-8pm), mostly invite-only but it's a chance for some grade-A people watching. Keep track of announcements on the Shanghai Fashion Week website.

Speaking of Fashion Week...MoCA Shanghai's hosting: Akiko Fukai (Kyoto Costume Institute, Japan), Valerie Steele (The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, USA), and Sonnett Stanfill (Victoria and Albert Museum, UK) to discuss their past work. Follow the link above for ticketing details, runs from 1-5pm.

I'm a teacher, you're a teacher, he's a teacher. Everyone's a teacher! This fair'll have teacher development and lots of open teaching positions if you're looking. 30 International Schools will be represented. Free entry, but follow the event link to RSVP, runs from 10am to 4pm.

Oh yeaaaaaah, Commune Market is back, bringin' you gourmet food, culture, retail, music and drinks all weekend. You know the deal, runs from 12-6pm Saturday and Sunday, free entry.
