Maybe this year it'll feel more like a wake than a celebration but Shanghai's Fourth of July parties are here just the same. Bringing you beers, bbqs, and sloppy celebrations in red white and blue. From Highline to The Rooster here's a list of who's throwing down the best deals.

*** Perhaps the classiest option on the list, Highline's second annual July 4th bash. Their 300g Angus beef and slow-roasted Prime Rib will be 50% off (originally 568rmb, to 288rmb). There'll also be a 3 hour free-flow offer on "classic American cocktails" for 198rmb from 6-9pm. Expect live music and patriotic party streamers starting from 5.30pm. Reservation required. Relevant. Bordertown celebrates July 4 with a delectable American spread of Frito pie, hot dogs, burgeritos, and watermelon popsicles. No entry fee, and eats and drinks cheap starting at 25rmb from 5pm to 8pm. Big Bamboo'll have a BBQ buffet with asalads, snacks, and the most quintessential American mains such as cheeseburgers, hot dogs, riblets, and pulled pork. Costs 188rmb per person (kids below 12 are 98rmb) and the buffet comes with a glass of craft beer. Reservations required call 6405 8720 for the Hongqiao Big Bamboo or 5030 1779 for Jinqiao. Will run from 5pm – 10pm. There's something similar going down at The Blind Pig, also need reservation for the bbq there. A Trump costume contest...winner gets an 1,000rmb voucher to Boxing Cat. There'll also be an outdoor BBQ from 5pm till 10pm, and an offering of three drinks for 100rmb. If you want to spend your fourth pretending your at a Kenny Chesney concert then The Rooster’s the place for you. They're bringing specials on Budweiser, Boulevard Single-Wide IPA, bourbon shots and corn dogs(!!!!), and other American comfort foods. There will also be American movies playing and country music. No entry fee, opens at 11am party will go all day.
