Dream Brewers have opened a new, bite-sized location on Wuyuan Lu. It's called Jiuhuar (means "hops" in Chinese), and is quite a bit smaller than their lofty brewpub at Julu 758. More like a kiosk with bare walls, naked lights and a couple of wooden stools. Exclusively Dream Brewers beer on tap, though bottles are plentiful. Despite looking like one, the staff say it’s not a pop-up. In that case, maybe some music or TV would be nice? Feels a bit like a hospital waiting room at the moment. But who cares what it looks like! Until March 15, they're selling Dream Brewers beers for a cool 10rmb a pour. Stroll in with 100rmb and be carried out with change in your pocket. Cheap craft beer! In Shanghai! Unheard of.
