Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, and while, let's face it, Shanghai offers plenty of terrifying opportunities to permanently stain your soul on a regular basis (read: after-hours clubs and Carl's Jr.), the consensus is that this coming weekend (Saturday, October 27) is the proper time to celebrate that. So what's out there this year for the prospective sexy nurse, the guy in the rubber Trump mask, and the Saudi "dissident rolled up in a rug" costumer? Let's see!
Alice's Silent Disco promises spooky immersive theater. Budweiser and SHFT are throwing a warehouse party. Arkham goes Beyond the Shimmer. Yuyintang hosts a horrific night of tribute bands covering decomposing 80s and 90s bands. M1NT is serving up "blood". MVP takes horror upscale at the Park Hyatt. The Dragon Burners roller-skate on Jiangning Lu. Elevator pops up with its first "Out" party in a new space. And about three dozen other parties, based on our listings, which you should be reading right here. Hell, even White Castle is getting in on the terror, with a DJ party in a burger joint. If that doesn't scare you, nothing will.
