Leo Xu Projects presents a group exhibition Boy: A Contemporary Portrait this Spring. The show features recent and commissioned new works by contemporary visual artists with a selection of works of contemporary dance, fashion photography and mid-20th century documentary photography. The exhibition will examine the transforming representation of men in different cultures, media and regions as seen in the earl years of the 21st century. The show seeks to portray young men of the time, and to redefine ideas of manhood and masculinity within a global context. Artists on show include photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, Beijing-based Liu Chuang and Danh Vo, a Vietnamese-born conceptual artist.
