For young French conceptual artist Tao Hongjing, Jing An Temple (or Temple of Peace and Tranquility as it's otherwise known) is the quintessential Shanghai experience. A Buddhist temple of gold, glistening midst the hustle and bustle of Shanghai's 'Fifth Avenue', with monks drift between businessmen, all clutching iPhones, it's these ironic contradictions of contemporary China that inspired the artist's Cubist, geometric sculptures. Other works on show include neon installations, landscapes and more.
