Continuing the artist's Assembly Line project, Crabs and Chocolate sees Li Xiaofei travel to Sweden and New Zealand as part of a residency program. There, he sought out a cigarette factory, a chocolate factory and light switch manufacturer amongst others, documenting tales of immigration, resource depletion and sustainable development along the way. Also on display will be earlier photographs depicting the inner-workings of factories and their workers in the Yangtze River Delta Region.
