BANK hosts a second solo of works by up-and-coming artist, Geng Yini. Incorporating a range of media and her signature bad-girl approach, here, she takes on religion and faith in large-scale paintings juxtaposed and overlaid with images from different cultures. Using pictorial inspiration sourced from across the global spectrum, Geng creates a kind of carnival of absurdity that is equal parts social-realism, graffiti, and expressionism. Grandly opens May 29, 5–8pm.
