PIMO Arts Festival makes its debut in Songjiang this month, and it's worth the trip down there. Founded by celeb artist Xu Zhen's PIMO art brand and David Chau (backer of key galleries in SH and mega-collector), it's also happening in collaboration with newly-founded Cc Foundation. The festival comprises open studios (Shen Fan, Gao Lei, Li Qing, Chen Yufan, Zhou Xiaohu, Wu Shanzhuan, and loads more), an exhibition called Super Archives featuring Lu Pinguan and Paul Chan, and special performance-based event, Inventing Ritual. That sees the likes of Chen Xiaoyun, Lin Ke, Liu Chengrui, Inga Svala Thorsdottir, Xu Zhen and many more in a 45-minute spectacular spanning videos, performances, texts, paintings, installations and sculptures. That all takes place at MadeIn's studios and just down the road at 5555 Shenzhuan Gong Lu. Performances happen at Made In at 1pm and 4pm daily until Nov 23.
