Olafur Eliasson is a huge deal in the world of contemporary art. The Danish-Icelandic artist's experiential works have been shown in top museums and institutions internationally, except -- until now -- China. A retrospective titled Nothingness is not nothing at all takes over Long Museum this spring, bringing with it installations, sculptures, paintings, drawings and film dating from the mid-90s through to today, as well as several brand new works created especially for the space. In signature style, those will incorporate elemental materials such as stone, ice, water and light, while optical devices, lenses and mirrors promise an immersive experience. Ticket price TBA.
