Zhang Qing: 'Boundary'
Experimental artist Zhang Qing's solo Boundary explores the psychology of surveillance, and specifically the relationship between observer and observed, gender, the body and consciousness. Documented in the show are public interactive performance art pieces, as well as installations, photography and film - including 886 Boylston Street, Boston, a work monitoring pedestrians from the same spot as the surveillance cameras which identified the Boston marathon bombers in 2013. That all opens Friday, May 13, 4pm-6pm.
