The go! Team
The guys that brought you gigs like 'Maximo Park', 'Bugz in the Attic' and the 'Infadels' are now presenting the UK band 'The Go! Team'. Wikipedia describes their music style as a "mixture of action theme songs, cheerleader chants, guitars and early hip-hop, with a hint of '70s funk", and promoters add that you will see "a cross between Sonic Youth's noise and The Jackson 5's all-round cheeky uplifting beats. There'll be rapping, double drumming (yes they have 2 drummers), a good bit of hugging and we hope to see some skipping". The supporting band 'Flying Fruit' has been one of the main acts at this years Midi festival in Beijing. After party with Shanghai's Mr. Stokes (one half of the Bananas crew).
