They have opend this new pace just a feew month ago and it is really nice located and integrated in the shopping mall. After shopping or cinema you have planty of nice place there to relax and refill the battery.

The stuff is still new and helpless sometimes. But its ok for a new open venue. Price is same as other locations.

The beer is always great, especially when they have a decent porter/stout on tap, as they did on Monday. The King Louie Stout is one of the better stouts I've had since I've moved to Shanghai from the states. And at 25 RMB a pint, it's really a tough deal to beat at any of the western establishments around Shanghai. For some reason, at the Hongqiao location it's a buy one get one type deal as opposed to the Yongfu location, which is 25 RMB flat. Didn't matter for me as I happily threw down 100 RMB for 4, but for some of my companions, the even numbers messed with their enjoyment of the deal a tad.

They had no problem with me and my companions playing card/board games as we drank, which is a plus.

The decor is very retro, very clean. I particularly enjoyed the craft beer themed space invaders mural in the staircase to the second floor. The second floor seems kind of unready, as tables and chairs were organized in a scattered fashion with chairs upside down on top of tables - normally this wouldn't have mattered but you have to walk through the upstairs dining room to reach the bathrooms.

The food received mixed reviews from my crew. Everyone enjoyed the nachos we split for the most part, though they were kind of plain in my opinion.

I wish they had served the homemade cornbread I have received at other locations with meals, however this location served slice white bread. The herb butter they serve with it was a nice touch though.

One of the cool things about the Hongqiao location is the fact that they have rotisserie chicken on the menu, and it's damn good. Moist and tender. Some of the best chicken I've had in Shanghai, if not the best (better than Captain Rooster and The Public in my opinion). The bland side of mushroom gravy mashed potatoes (which seemed to be boxed mashed potatoes based on texture and flavor) on the side couldn't even dampen my mood with how good the Chicken was. And it comes with a well made biscuit and more of the delicious herb butter. The meal was 2/3 awesome. Fix those mashed potatoes and I might be there every Monday. And for 105 RMB for half a chicken, it's not a bad deal.

My one friend ordered the Boxing Cat burger (the one where they don't let you change anything about it), and thought it was alright. Nothing special, and plenty of other better burgers in Shanghai.

Another friend went with the sweet potato and quinoa patty, one of the few vegetarian options available at this location, and was disappointed. It was kind of bland and lacked anything exciting flavor or texture-wise.

My friends seemed content with the entire experience in the end (mostly due to the beer), and for some reason (maybe it's still the soft opening?) we got 25% off of all food.
