While the Windows affiliation may drive some potential customers away, Scoreboard is actually one of Shanghai's best venues for a fun, affordable, and pretension-free night out on the town. Drinks are dirt cheap (10-20rmb), the extensive pub food menu is surprisingly palatable, and the rock and punk music infused atmosphere is always appreciated among the mix of expats and locals. Sports games are shown on the big screen and TVs throughout or try your hand at a game of pool, darts, or foosball.

The Haiku Summary:

10 kuai bottled beers

And no pretension in sight

At Windows Scoreboard

Despite the fact that my dart game was absolutely bust on this evening, I found consolation in the friendly sports bar atmosphere -- muraled pictures of football and basketball players with cheerleaders mid-pompom, TVs continually broadcasting sports, darts, pool, fusbol, and the smell of french fries and burgers. The casual feeling of the bar was a nice change from the typical pretension that lurks in other bars in Shanghai. The cocktails, considering the price (10RMB), weren't bad, and the selection of bottled beers was pretty standard.

My only reservation about the place is its layout. They put two dartboards right next to the bar, so if you end up playing there, you continually have to stop the game to make sure you don't hit some waitress scampering to deliver a drink. In addition, some rows of seats are harder to get to, i.e. you have to climb over/past other seats to get to them. I can imagine that things get a little hairy when this place gets packed.

Always good for shits and giggles. Bonus is that you are unlikely to bump into the pretentious crowd and the posers.

If you get stuck going here, make sure to order a bottled beer. the drinks are horrible, the people that it attracts are a perfect match. Service is SLOW. the only positive thing about this dump is the bottles that they cant mess up.

I like the atmosphere and the music there but they only serve fake alcohol which gets people really drunk and a horrible headache the next day.

This place is packed with people 7 days a week. And the reasons are cheap drinks (most of the beers for 10 RMB), good music, and real pub atmosphere (like elpollorico already said). You don’t fill robbed after spending a night here. The food is also more that reasonable. 45 RMB for a combo (drink, soup, salad and a main dish). You can’t beet that. Try the salmon!

Cheap drinks, good music, and great pub atmosphere. This is definitely not Windows Too, except for the cheap drinks. I'm going back and plan to try the food they have. 10 kuai burgers as well.
