I couldn't believe that we were at the right lane entrance. Bulk cat food vendor, construction leftovers, street-soup reek. But 30 metres back from the main road, were the boutiques, cafes and bars that I had been anticipating.
The restaurant is cozy, tiny even. Has seating for about 20 inside and half a dozen on a little balcony.
The decor is nice. It's relaxed. Colours sorta reminded me of potpourri.
The food is great, and while portions weren't huge, it's reasonably priced. Almost all main dishes were about 50 kuai. The Duck with Red Curry and Apple was excellent.
The servers were very friendly and helpful. There were a few minor mixups, but they were dealt with promptly and they didn't seem to be the norm.
Overall, it's a pretty cool place. Definitely worth a try.
