One of my favorite fast food places- but remember it's fast food.

But for fast food it was very yummy-I was surprised.

Things tasted fresh and flavorful, unlike most places that taste kinda stale.

Here's the only problem-it's not so fast- at 1/3 capacity we had to wait as did others while lots of lunch orders went out.

But for fast food I'm returning again. And I usually don't like fast food.

I order quite often. My last roommate was american, and out of fun we set on a quest to find the best burger in Shanghai. We gone lots of places, Blue Frog, Carls Jr, MD, Burger King ... you name it.

My roommate ordered everything from the menu of Munchies at least once. We live in One Park Avenue. I stayed with the burgers. I just love the Munchies Burger. Usually I order Barbeque Bacon Cheese Burger. It's the best burger I had so far in Shanghai.

Usually they deliver within 30min. Sometimes it's like 15min, I love that, sometimes it's like 1 hour, which annoys me, but hey, we're in China and the delivery guy get's a laughable wage, I guess.

Once I was lucky enough to have the owner bring me my burger. Really cool.

After making grateful use of their free delivery service (1 km) for the last couple of months I decided to hit up the joint.

Their selection of burgers provides great value for money, with burgers ranging from 30 to 45 RMB. Never tried their hotdogs, nor the chili. I can highly recommend their Texas BLT sandwich, the ideal hangover breakfast.

Burgers and sandwiches are accompanied by a free side dish; a generous amount of fruit or french fries which are pretty good.

I'm not really understanding all the ecstatic reviews for this place. I ordered a Chili Cheese burger (35RMB), a Pittsburgh Hotdog (28RMB) and a Chocolate Milkshake (15RMB). I was starving and wanted some simple, tasty and meaty food.

The burger was that, for sure. It was very meaty (beef covered in beef tends to give you that sensation) and it did have a nice taste. It was everything you'd expect from a 'fast-food' restaurant. But in a fast food restaurant I'd pay 20RMB, with a drink.

The hotdog reminded me of the reason why I stopped eating hotdogs. They're just not that great. The sausage was poor and flavourless, the 'swiss cheese' was just from a pack of grated cheese.. not even melted. The cold cheese combined with the cold bun and cold lettace does not equal a winter warmer. To be honest, I can't ever imagine a hotdog being a great piece of food... but after reading all the reviews here I was open-minded. Maybe I'll try again in 10 years.

The only good thing about Munchies was the Chocolate Milkshake. It was thick and creamy, with a nice chocolatey taste (unlike McDonalds shakes which tend to lack the chocolate kick). The service and decor was fine, I spent 2.5 hours in there... but I go to a restaurant for food.

The problem with Munchies is that it charges Blue Frog prices (Mondays of course) but offers a sub-Carl's Jr food experience (That is Carl's Jr without phenomenal Chili Cheese fries). I love Carls Jr, but it's worth the price you pay. Munchies isn't. Definitely wait for a Blue Frog monday or get yourself down to Raffles City to experience Big Cs

This is the 3rd time this week i've ordered from munchies.

i was initially put off by the name and logo and had it in my head that it would be fast food that i would totally regret an hour later after eating.

well, i am now ordering my way around the menu and have not been disappointed yet. i love hot dogs, and this place has the best dogs in town. ordering by phone is easy although it does take a while to have it delivered.

price is good. fries never arrive soggy. hot dogs are great. value for money.

It is very laid back and great for any time of the day. The staff is polite and friendly.As other reviewers had mentionned, it s a good value for money.

Not big fan of their tex-mex food but they definetely have one of the best burger selections in Shanghai with delicious side dishes.

Wanted a burger on the weekend, Gourmet cafe is too expensive, and too lazy to make my own. Went there for the 1st time, cafe is not busy at all. Ordered the jerk chicken sandwich, and a chili burger for my friend.
Chili burger is AWESOME! If cooks put more awesome in this, this will be perfect! Fries are crisp, and th coleslaw is tart, just like home.
jwek chicken is a little weak, but I love jerks. What can I do...!
Advise everyone who loves a burger to try it. Great value for money!
