After my recent trip to Hunan House for dinner I definitely will be returning after the great food and superb service.

We immediately walked into the cozy lane house without a reservation and after being greeted by the friendly manager we were promptly taken upstairs to a nice table in the corner.

We order the cold woodear mushrooms, sliced pork and cucumber appetizers and the cold sesame chicken for appetizers. All dishes were brought out promptly and we were forewarned about each dish in regards to the level of spiciness by the friendly server.

The sliced pork was simple but tasty when accompanied by the creamy yet spicy sauce and the woodear mushrooms definitely had a kick to it along with the sesame chicken. Once we were finished our beef with cumin and pork dumpling shorty followed, both very flavorful.

The thing that really amazed me was the attentiveness of the servers. We never had to ask them to refill our free water (it's a pet peeve when restaurants don't offer free water), they were always subtly checking on us without being intruding and then always asked if it was okay to take something away and how we liked each dish.

Overall this was definitely a great place for Hunan food and the I will definitely be back!
