Described as an 'American Cafe', Malone's is home to the most extensive burger menu in the city. Smack in the middle of Tongren Lu just around the corner from the Shanghai Center, Malone's is usually packed with expats and the out of town business crowd. Upstairs plays host to a Filipino cover band most nights, an extensive bar can satisfy any thirst, and the outdoor seating is quite appreciated during the warmer months.

Unless you are looking for Filipino prostitutes, bad cover band music, and overpriced drinks, don't go here at night.

Good burger but the hot wing sauce is a little too BBQ-sweet to be authentic.

Brunch @ Malone's: We ordered a Banana Split Breakfast, 75 RMB, 3 fluffy Pancakes with strawberries/ banana/ cranberries/ creme, 2 eggs, 2 different types of ham, melone pieces, honey, baked potatoes and fresh & strong wakeup-coffe. Almost too much to eat after a long dance-night with several drinks, but so yummie that you just could not stop eating. And the coffe also helped to get a clear mind. Also, we ordered a Breakfast Borrito, 75 RMB, filled with 3 scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, onions; melon pieces and fruit juice. Very tasty as well, but just too much for us(probably because of the after-affects of last night) Few people at 1pm. Mostly americans, some germans, barely local people. Friendly staff, Billard table on 2nd floor. Conclusion: Great Food, nice people, relaxed atmosphere. Neither willing, nor able to walk afterwards :)

I dislike drinking beer. I detest watching sports. I despise playing pool or darts. In total, I strongly disapprove the sports bar where I am supposed to enjoy myself doing all of these I don鈥檛 enjoy. However, I have been to Malone鈥檚 2 times already, not for its beer (yuck), not for its atmosphere (hell! no) but only for its famous burger (oh! Yes). Malone鈥檚 serves the real-size fatty juicy burger, not those miniature meat-barely-existing ones at fake burger shops. The best burger place in Shanghai out of two places I have been to so far!

The best place I found here. But during he week days, not week end. The barmen and barmaid are really fun when they have time to speak to you. And the music is really good. Only during week days, because you can find place to seat, and people who enjoy talking. On week end, lots of old fat guys, and no place to seat. Moreover, I feel the band has less fun. But during week days, this is a really great place where to drink after working.

Had a fantastic time last weekend,It was packed so at least people had the same idea as me,Band Art6 were excellent and the English pop Dj were both good and got people dancing, drinks are roughly the same price as all of Shanghai although they did this good offer of a rack of 10 assorted shots for only100rmb My friends and I went back for the brunch on the Sunday and that was also really good, huge plates of food which none of us finished, background music was also very good with a high end mix of 70s and 80s and some mixes of songs I had never heard before and the whole atmosphere was so different from the night before....Well done to the people behind this place

Burgers are overrated. Whoever thinks these are the best burgers in town either never tasted a good old juicy American burger or has just been eating too much at Mickey D's. They ain't bad, but they ain't all great either. Personally, I think Hard Rock has much better food. The potato wedges at this place were good though...
