My Toddler's Nutrition

September 30, 10am-noon @ American-Sino Women's & Children's Hospital

Maternity and paediatric nurse, Shlomit, is hosting a workshop focusing on the importance of nutrition for toddlers — ideal for parents with children between one to three years. Key topics such as portioning and recognizing the difference between gagging and choking will also be covered. Attendance costs 180rmb.

International Family Day

October 1-3, 10am @ Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center

Organized by Best & More and the Shanghai World Expo, this international family day has a wide range of activities and workshops on offer, including cool things like archery and coding... oh and a few things for the kids. Entrance is free.

Craft'd – Golden Week Camp

October 1-3, 10am-4pm @ Craft'd Shanghai

Artsy crew, Craft’d, are running a three-day camp for kids on how to sew, bake, and decorate. Full-days are 2,100rmb, half-days cost 1,200rmb.

Pet Adoption Event

October 1-8, 1-5pm @ Jing'an Kerry Center

Singing the mantra, "Adopt, don't shop!, animal lovers,Spare Leash, and burger dudes,Shake Shack are hosting a pet adoption event at the Jing’an Kerry Center. Each day will feature a different animal rescue organization, in case you're looking for a new, furry addition to the family — or not! If you don't get chance to go, adopt one of these cutiepies.

National Holiday Soccer Camp

October 2-5, 9-11am @ Mingdu Sports Park

FD Football Academy is hosting a four-day football course for kids aged four to seven. Set for beginners, this program guides mini-footballers through fundamentals like footwork, control, and basic tactics. Course is 1,000rmb.

Speech & Debate Skills Workshop

October 3, 3-4.30pm @ ATLAS Workspace

This free workshop focuses on teaching kids the art of public speaking as well as how they can improve their speaking and communication.Suitable for ages 9 to 13.

Sunday, October 4

Mexican Cooking Class

October 4, 11am-1pm @ Pistolera

Apparently Pistolerawants you to take a backseat when it comes to your future family dinners, by having your kids learn how to cook Mexican. Class will cover empanadas and burritos, plus basic cooking skills. Make sure to book with them asap, as the event has limited spots. Attendance is 98rmb per child.

October 5 - November 1

Halloween at Disney

October 5 till November 1, 8am-10pm @ Shanghai Disney Resort

Disney is celebrating the season of booos and overindulgence in candy with a whole month of spooky themed awesomeness; from spine-chilling surprises of Disney villains to a cavalcade of pumpkin-spiced treats. Dress up is not optional — nor should it be. Go wild.

Golden Week Arts Camp

October 5-9, 10am-4pm @ Queen of Arts

Queen of Arts is hosting an arts & crafts camp for five days during the Golden Week. Expect some drawing, painting, constructing and designing, plus a tie-dye workshop and class on weaving. Kids attending with siblings or doing half-days can get a discount. Early bird tickets (until Oct 1) are 3,850rmb, regular tickets are 4,550rmb.

Spanish Classes for Kids

Every Monday, 4.30pm @ The Ambassador

Speckled Frogs are running Spanish Classes just for kids, where they will pick up the lingo through singing and dancing. First-timers can have a go for 80rmb.
