Based in Shanghai since 2016, mostly eating, exploring, and pretending to be busy. Big on animals, good restaurants, cool events, and organizing life with spreadsheets just to feel in control.

If your playlists lean dream pop, shoegaze, or jangly indie guitars that make you feel things for no clear reason, Sobs should already be on your radar, especially if you're into Alvvays or Fazerdaze, and now they're coming to Shanghai. I'm literally sobbing because Sobs are coming.

The Singapore indie pop trio that evolved from hazy bedroom tunes into punchy, jangly, guitar-driven bangers is playing March 13 at the new Yuyintown Basement. Every soft vocal, every hook, every riff hits just right.

They've toured North America, opened for Japanese Breakfast, sold out shows in Japan, and earned love from NME, Stereogum, KEXP, and nowwe get them.

If you love Subsonic Eye, Cosmic Child, shoegaze, or melodic indie that sticks in your head for days, this is your night. Fun fact: guitarist Jared Lim even plays in those bands too, basically a mini Singapore indie universe all in one gig.
