Major Events in 2025
Yu Garden is celebrating the Chinese New Year by hosting their annual Lantern Festival. This year the festival runs from January 1 to February 12, 2025. Admission for adults is 50rmb, and for children it's 30rmb.
Formula 1 has announced a five-year extension with the Chinese Grand Prix that will see the Shanghai International Circuit remain on the calendar through the 2030 season. Last year tickets sold out so don't sleep on this if you want to see 2nd race of the 2025 F1 calendar.
The Shanghai Longines Global Champions Tour will take place in May. This event is a five-star show jumping competition, the highest level under the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).

The World Rowing Championships, organized by World Rowing, is an international rowing competition held annually in late summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
