Art shows that won't bore the kids — or you. Here are five playful, hands-on exhibitions to check out this month.

#1 Zootopia JumpFromPaper Pop‑Up — playful pop‑culture art

A fun, immersive pop‑up where the animated world of Zootopia gets flattened in the best way: giant 2D JumpFromPaper‑style art installations come to life. Expect bright visuals, hidden easter eggs, and plenty of spots for photos and play — perfect for younger kids and fans of the movie's fox and rabbit duo.

#2 "Letting Go... Holding On..." Crybaby Exhibition — interactive and tactile

This large‑scale show built around the Crybaby universe from POP MART turns West Bund Gate M into a playful environment loaded with sound, light, inflatable structures, ball pits, and familiar characters like Crybaby and Crybunny. It's more interactive than "museum quiet," encouraging kids to explore, move through the space, and literally play with the art.

#3 SPACE: Internal Illuminations at Fotografiska — cosmic art journey

Visual art meets wonder in this expansive group exhibition that blends photography, installation, and cosmic themes — from nebulae to mythic storytelling — into an immersive journey through light, space, and imagination. Great for families with curious kids (older ones especially) who are intrigued by science, space, and big visuals.

#4 Salvador Dali x The Bund City Hall — surrealist icons

Dali's surrealist sculptures and drawings land in a grand old Bund building, complete with clocks, melting faces, and other mind‑bending forms. Older kids might get a kick out of the strange shapes and playful weirdness — plus, it's a low‑pressure art intro in a pretty building.

#5 Sony Pictures Roadshow — movie magic IRL

Super Brand Mall turns into a Hollywood backlot with this sprawling interactive showcase of movie props, life-size sets (Ghostbusters, Men in Black, Peter Rabbit), and high-tech gadgets from Sony Pictures. Kids can get hands-on, take Oscar selfies, and end the visit with a screening of Hotel Transylvania.
