Salvador Dalí’s surreal visions meet Shanghai’s century-old architecture at the Bund City Hall, where more than 150 works—including sculptures, jewelry, glass, and prints—are on display. The exhibition traces two parallel timelines: 1922, when both the young Dalí began his studies at Madrid’s Royal Academy and the building first opened, and today, as the site has been restored and repurposed for cultural and commercial use. Iconic Dalí imagery, from melting clocks to elongated elephants, is installed throughout the building’s neoclassical and Art Deco spaces, with large-scale outdoor sculptures marking the Bund plaza. The show also includes interactive installations, a “Red Lips Salon,” and educational programs exploring surrealism, urban history, and contemporary art.
