The 3rd highly anticipated Shanghai Social Series event. Emerging Electronic Artists features 5 freshly handpicked local DJs to dazzle the crowd showcasing a mash of musical genres tonight (Thursday 13th) at California Club. Support Shanghai's very own talent, each of whom will mix for 50 minutes. Read on for an insight into each of the 5 participants - Jerry Howe, DJ Doggy, Patrick Chu aka pchu, DJ Emcore, and MHP.
Jerry Howe has been DJing for 2+ years, his interest in mixing triggered by friends and fellow DJs Emono and SynRG. Initially spinning trance and progressive, he has now moved on to playing electro and progressive house as well as a bit of minimal. Due to the amount of traveling Jerry does, he hasn't yet had a chance to settle in one place long enough to get a permanent residency. Still a student, DJing started out as purely a hobby which he grew fond of more than he thought he would. Jerry was a resident DJ at "Absolut" in Crans Montana in Switzerland for 3 weeks, and is currently resident DJ at the recently opened Wynn Win in Shanghai for 3 weeks before his summer vacation ends.
