Location

Xianju, located in the southeastern part of Zhejiang province, is a hidden gem surrounded by lush mountains and serene landscapes. The county is known for its stunning natural beauty, with rolling hills, vibrant greenery, and crystal-clear streams. It offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, making it the perfect destination for both humans and their pets. Whether guests are taking a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk or relaxing by the river, the breathtaking scenery ensures they are fully immersed in nature’s tranquility.

The village where guests will be staying is nestled at the foot of these mountains, offering panoramic views and easy access to the surrounding wilderness. The area remains largely undeveloped, allowing visitors to experience the authenticity of rural Zhejiang with its peaceful atmosphere and unspoiled natural surroundings. With gentle hikes, pet-friendly accommodations, and close proximity to the stream, Xianju is an ideal retreat for those seeking a relaxing yet adventurous weekend with their dogs.

For breakfast and lunch, traditional Chinese dishes will be served, offering a taste of local flavors and culinary traditions. In the evening, enjoy a Western-style BBQ for dinner, featuring a selection of grilled meats and sides for a satisfying end to the day. Vegetarian options are also available. Difficulty: Easy – Both hikes follow paved sections, dirt paths and is a mostly flat trail, with a few sections that include stairs. No prior hiking experience or technical skills are required, making it accessible for all participants. Boardwalk is part of the National 4A Greenway, spanning over 100 km and offers access to the stream. River swimming is safe for all, with both deep and shallow areas; Guests should bring own life jackets if needed.

Room Arrangement Policy

If booking alone, there will be an additional charge for a private room. However, guests who are open to sharing a room may inform the event organizer, and efforts will be made to match them with another single participant. Please note that a shared room arrangement is not guaranteed, and if no suitable match is found, the private room supplement will still apply.

• Once deposit is paid, the event organizer will contact you to confirm your booking.
• Further details, including trip specifics, schedules, and any additional information, will be provided.
• The remaining balance must be paid directly to the event organizer. Please ensure payment is completed as per the instructions provided by the organizer to confirm your participation.

Cancellation Policy

• 500 RMB deposit required to secure booking.
• Cancellations within 7 days of departure are non-refundable.

*Trip will only proceed if 9 or more rooms are occupied. In the event of insufficient participants, guests will be notified one week in advance, and a full refund will be provided.

*Please note that your booking is confirmed only when full payment is made. Seats are limited. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to a friend, but rescheduling to another trip is not permitted.

Rascals on the Road is Furry Friends approved and is committed to helping animals in need through a close partnership with Furry Friends. Each trip will include 1-2 dogs looking for an adopter or foster home. Additionally, Rascals on the Road has partnered with Spare Leash, a pet-sitting platform that connects pet owners with verified sitters, offering in-home, 100% cage-free care.

Guests interested in meeting these dogs are encouraged to reach out, and arrangements can be made for them to join the trip.
