“CATS The Musical” is calling young performers aged 6–18 for SYT’s summer 2026 Shanghai production. Auditions take place on Jan11 (two sessions) at The Spotlight Theatre School in Jing’an, with selected cast members performing June 13&14 at the Shanghai Children’s Theatre / Great Theatre. Expect iconic music, high-energy choreography and plenty of stage magic — applicants should prepare a musical theatre song, a monologue and join the dance workshop (acro welcome but optional). Auditions are free; successful candidates join an 18-week program priced at 10,000rmb, covering weekly rehearsals, production fees and masterclasses with a guest West End choreographer/director.
