Ladies, ladies, laaaadies. Seems like we're kicking butt lately in the way of community events. This week there'll be a charity boxing event for breast cancer prevention with More Than Aware and the International Professional Women's Society has got another event on for this weekend. There'll also be chances to learn more about WeChat and blue gold a.k.a water in Shanghai. This weekend, there'll be a market just for kids, and this is the final week for the SHQFF. *** A two-day event dedicated to the app that consumes us: WeChat. Co-organized by China Channel and WalktheChat the event will feature presentations and workshops. Tickets start from 488rmb, get them here. The Kerry Hotel Pudong in partnership with More Than Aware and Nike, is hosting a charity boxing class for the fight against breast cancer. It's a 60 minute boxing class, will run from 7.30-8.30pm, tickets 50rmb, available on Smartticket. This ones for the kiddos. Common Rare's offering up a creative market for kids with arts, crafts, and activities good for kids up to 12ish. Runs from 11am-8pm Saturday and 11am-6.30pm Sunday. Get your tickets at the door for 69rmb. International Professional Women's Society, is offering a workshop on ‘Design Thinking’ a real fancy problem solving technique. Runs from 1-5pm, workshops start at 1.30pm sharp and the event will end with a reflection and a make your own martini. Costs 200rmb for members and 350 for non-members. Scan the QR code here to register (space is limited). Water’s a big concern here, Greenwave a company dedicated to cleaner water & air, is hosting an info session called: Shanghai Water 101. Here, founder David Wang will be sharing his insights on water safety. Free entry, but sign up ahead of time to save a spot.
