Pour out a glass of shiraz for this one: Fumin Lu's last proper wine bar, Dr. Wine, is gone for good. They've been shuttered for a hot minute for "filming," which turns to be just the latest euphemism for "liquidation." Allegedly the shareholders couldn't come to an agreement on the money, so they locked the place up overnight on March 17 after nine long years of being a "real wine bar" and not just a bar serving wine. Too bad. The only decent dates I've had were at Dr. Wine. Not sure what that means. Also gone is Dr. Beer, the upscale, industrially damaged brewery and restaurant the group opened in 2011 just up the street, as well as the one on Xingeng Lu.
