It’s just a few days until Christmas. Have you made plans? If you’re staying in town and not going to someone’s house, there’s still lots of time to figure it out. We have a few ideas here on our Christmas Dining page. More than 50 actually, from traditional five-star buffet blowouts to more adventurous ideas, like STYX’s skewers and The Pearl's Christmas Feast and a show, and the events are still coming in. Want some inspiration? Let’s go!

* On the Bund, new terrace-heavy spot Ce La Vi has a “modern Asian” five-course menu for 888rmb; and Hakkasan has a singer, a saxophonist and an 888rmb per person menu. At the hotels, Hyatt on the Bund has a ton of options at their various venues, from buffet to VUE to five-star Chinese; Bespoke at the St. Regis does eight courses, starting with oysters and Champagne, for 888rmb, while Social does that five-star buffet extravagance, also for 888rmb; The Sukhothai’s Urban Café does a buffet centered on roasted turkey, roast beef and honey-glazed ham for 348rmb per person; across the lobby, their handsome Italian restaurant La Scala does five courses with things like a turkey breast roulade for 538rmb; Portman’s has a lunchtime buffet from 268rmb and up, reservations required; The Peninsula’s fine dining hall gets up there at 1,488rmb per person for a Christmas treat; In the downtown options, Italian favorite Frasca does five courses for 688rmb including caviar, foie gras and lobster, and then brunch the next day for 254rmb; Café Gray Deluxe does beef Wellington, among others, for 888rmb; seul&SEUL has M9 wagyu beef anchoring its 8-course menu for 888rmb; The Cut does a festive menu with M3 Australian Black Angus tenderloin for 598rmb; and Polux has special menus starting at 500rmb though you’ll definitely need a reservation for that one. On the more casual side of things, Stone Brewing does creamy pumpkin soup and herb-crusted lamb chops as part of three courses for 368rmb plus 80rmb for the beer pairing; Zapfler does dinner for two for 398rmb with the chance to win 300rmb for the best ugly sweater; The Tandoor promises Indian Christmas with dinner for two at 588rmb; The Blind Pig has an all-you-can-eat buffet for 388rmb and a free-flow option; BBQ newcomer Chuckville gets in on the Christmas action for 388rmb; and Liquid Laundry does it family-style for 250rmb. But that's far from all of your options. Click here to see the FULL list of SmSh's Christmas Dining options.
