The Holy Shopping Season is upon us. With the Americans about to be passed out and in the hospital with turkey-related stomach ruptures, the rest of us can get down to celebrating the true meaning of the holidays: buying stuff!

Wellington College is first off the blocks, with a Christmas bazaar on Friday hosting more than 130 vendors, followed by the Holiday Commune Market taking place over the weekend in Yong Ping Lane and a Parisian-themed French Christmas Market up at The Pearl. The following weekend, Shanghai’s artisans get together at Atelier to sell sell sell, and the first installment of the Jing’an Christkindlmarkt sets up their wooden stalls and mulling machines in Tonglefang. After that, it’s Paulaner’s market in Pudong and an indoor market at un Caffe Bar, and from there it’s only a week or so until Christmas.
