New Gyms and What They’re Offering...
Photo provided by F45
New F45 - yeah old news, (opened in January) but they're still offering a free two week trial, valid in both locations if you're new to the gym. Sign up through their WeChat: Functional45 after the trial it'll get a bit pricy as Shanghai work outs do, you can check regular pricing in an article we did on their first round of free trials. This one's probably on its way out, though they haven't yet decided on an exact date to pull the promotion.
Fresh O2 Power Yoga
It's open, and they're offering one free trial "VIP" class that usually costs 300rmb. You can pick from: Parent-child Yoga, Child Yoga, Yoga meditation, Yoga Therapy, Motherhood Yoga, Yoga for two, and Coach training. Seems like this one's gonna focus in on teaching teachers. The next workshop for prospective teachers is on for March 30, from 6-9pm, for 600rmb. WeChat: FreshO2PowerYoga.
News From The Ground
Last Friday, American franchise Anytime Fitness opened its 4,000 location worldwide and they did it in Shanghai with Co-Founder and CEO, Chuck Runyon in the house (guess they're priortizing growth in China). They've got 3 locations in Shanghai, but no doubt they've got plans to spread like an STI on a college campus. Fun fact, people love to tattoo themselves with the Anytime Fitness logo...wonder if we'll start seeing the purple man on bisceps across Shanghai? May the streets bleed purple!
