For select nights in September (see jump for dates listing) Chinatown hosts a performance of Noel Coward's 'Blithe Spirit'. The cast of seven is a mix of Chinatown regular cast and actors from recent Shanghai productions. Ten witty and engaging evenings of 1930's and 40's vintage entertainment... Tickets are 150rmb for seat and cocktail. Starts 8pm.

The cast of seven is a mix of Chinatown regular cast and actors from recent Shanghai productions. Ten witty and engaging evenings of 1930's and 40's vintage entertainment, including specially designed Coward-ly cocktails and Pimm's, a selection of the best of wartime food -- British, German and Japanese: Guardsman's Boots (Beef Wellington Bites dipped in horseradish and gravy), Waffle SS (Sausage and Sauerkraut) and Banzai! Sushi, finished off with individual English Summer Trifles, to the sounds of Noel Coward and Irving Berlin and then of course the play itself.
