'Double Act' places artists in conversation with non-artist others and the urban environment. The artists participating in Double Act are also not necessarily those understood to be “contemporary artists,” but come from various professional fields including philosophy, literature, architecture and music, even city managers, security guards, housekeepers, farmers, mechanics, local neighborhood committee members, or even pajama-clad denizens of the lanes. This collision and cooperation of art and sociology, artist and other-identified people (whether a positive or negative interaction) is how Double Act attempts to break disciplinary boundaries and class differences.
