We schmoozed our way around the grand opening of SH Contemporary last night, kicking off four days of art, art and more art. Over 100 galleries from China and beyond are showcasing – and selling – pieces by their their best artists, working across photography, painting, sculpture and more. There's also a dedicated exhibit of contemporary artists from India, as well as Now Ink, focusing on new ink and calligraphy-related multimedia works. Take it from us, there's a lot to see. If it's a hefty dose of edification you're after, SH Contemporary continues through Sunday at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. In the meantime, here's just some of what we saw...
