Sludge metal purveyors Conch - ready as always to drag listeners across the concrete floor, hit the road again - are looking to devour audiences across the nation with their ravenous tunes. And this time they’ve got a special guest joining them for the tour - UK grindcore duo Avoid - spewing forth short, fast, and heavy tunes cut with DIY grit. For their send-off homebase Shanghai show, they’ve rounded up a gnarly crew of punk, metal, and noise makers including barded punk favorites Moya, death metal outfit Dissolution, and harsh noise staple Torturing Nurse.

Three young-blooded acts that have been making noise as of late here and in Zhejiang - tonight rounds up some of this year’s most talked-about new acts - including spry emo rockers Heartbroken Boys Club and retro-fitted blues garage rockers Permanent Trio, both out of Suzhou; and Hangzhou all-female punk rockers Cat Fight - known for their wily live performances.

Taiwan’s No-Nonsense Collective has been coming up strong over the past few years in a wave of indie bands coming out of universities and generating hits, amassing fans online in droves. Much in the vein of acts like No Party for Caodong, Lao Wang, and deca joins, their sound is a rugged, rustic mix of blues rock, reggae, folk, and punk - ‘taking inspiration from cigarettes, mountain forests, and urban decay’. Well, they’re back - hitting up Yuyintown Cube this time round.

One of the year’s best surprises was the album ‘Not Grand Love’ from composer, pianist, and sound artist Sun Xiaofan. Originally from Dalian and now based in Hong Kong, she blends elements of neoclassical, art pop, math rock, and jazz with piano and synthesizer, crafting a sound that’s hypnotic. For this tour, she's performing with a three-person band, including drummer Zheng Haoyuan and keyboardist Zheng Haorong. And joining her at wigwam will be handycam - one of 2026’s most talked about acts - who craft art rock equal parts abrasive and beguiling - injected with experimental alt rock grit, jazzy prog rock finesse, and avant-pop charisma.

Wenzhou rockers Polyphozia are back and ready to tangle. A swirl of hard-hitting rock and roll, the type that seeped out of America throughout the 90s, from head-banging alt-metal, sludgy garage rock, and of course, impassioned grunge angst - the long-standing band brings their taut, melodic tunes to FENRIR - shifting between somber existentialism and a riotous good time with conviction. Supporting the band on their nationwide tour are Shanghai local act JAHIL, bringing some ethnic Xinjiang flavor to their nostalgic take on nu-metal.

No stage madness at Mosh Space in Yangpu - as an eclectic trio of rock and rollers get intimate for a special no-stage showcase. On the docket, you’ve got synth psych rockers Navel, whose gothic new wave ain’t afraid to let their psych-infused mania run free. Also on hand, spry emo rockers Heartbroken Boys Club who have been making quite a bit of noise as of late; and Flying Carpet - a double-bass fronted Elvis-rocking swing time band with punk in its blood.
