Just off Changle Lu, a small creative compound longtime Shanghai wanderers might remember has quietly resurfaced with a new look. Now called Green Station, the space first opened in 2016 as United Valley — three standalone buildings stitched together with platforms, staircases, and steel walkways. Earlier this year, it got a light refresh: nothing structural, just a repaint and subtle tweaks. The steel framework is now a soft mint green, shifting the mood from industrial bunker to something brighter and more relaxed.
Tenants are still moving in, but the compound is already open to wander. A few cafés and small shops are taking shape, with terraces and seating scattered across the levels.
The space has also started hosting occasional events, including Heim's recent daytime "Heimliday," with DJs, workshops, and low-key hangouts. There's often music drifting between floors and people slowly moving through the maze. Still settling in, but already shaping up as one of those slightly chaotic Shanghai corners — part creative hub, part weekend wander, now with a fresh coat of mint.
