We all know Luneurs for making Shanghai's best ice cream, especially the Salted Caramel. But it turns out their other offerings are excellent too. It's a close race with Pain Chaud for the title of the best bakery in town.

They have a relatively new location at Rockbund that's still under the radar. It's spacious yet cozy, with beautiful outdoor seating. And it's pretty empty in the mornings before the tourist crowds arrive, making it an ideal brunch spot without being surrounded by too many picture-taking hipsters like at their other locations. The only downside is that their warm brunch dishes aren't available before 10:30 AM.

Their breads and ciabattas are served warm. Mmmmmm, so good.

With lots of other food and beverage options about to open up in Rockbund, it's definitely an area to keep an eye on.
