Original Camel Sports Bar Closing End of July, Moving Somewhere SUPER SECRET

Jul 9, 2020 | 16:29 Thu
Camel group announced that their original location on Yueyang Lu will closing down at the end of this month, and moving on to greener oases. That's the end of a full decade as the tent peg that kept the whole Pushkin triangle from flying away in the breeze. The official closing party is on Saturday, July 25. They'll be announcing their new location at 9pm on the night. So mysterious! So secret. Final day of service is Friday, July 31, and they've got something special planned for that day too. We can only hope it's no-holds barred cage rugby in the backroom, moderated by Ned Kelly. Full statement after the jump.

We’re Moving.. and we are having a party

We are saying goodbye to The Camel Sports Bar’s beloved home at 1 Yueyang Lu. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years but as things go here in Shanghai our time has come to an end at this location.

We can’t wait to celebrate with all our amazing Camel customers. We have shared many beers, sport and laughs under this roof. Let’s say good bye with a bang. We have amazing drink deals of house lager, wine, spirits and Bloody Mary kicking off from 12pm.

But with the sad news there is good news.. we can’t wait to share with you where the new location will be. The BIG announcement will be at 9pm that evening! And it’s good, we can promise you that. See you on Saturday the 25th!

Our last day of service will be July 31st BUT don’t you worry we have something big planned for that day as well...

So there you have it. The new location is meant to open within the first two weeks of August "if construction goes to schedule" so expect it in September. Zing! Construction jokes.
