Just off the café stretch of Wuding Lu, Union Square Tennis occupies a restored century-old brick building. Industrial, bright, and calm, it's built around the idea that you can just show up and play. Book through their WeChat mini program, scan in, and the court is yours. Courts come with an automatic ball machine, brand racquets, and enough space to practice solo without crowds. The ball machines can be adjusted via remote control for speed and angle, and there's also a Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music while hitting. There are three courts in total.
Open daily from 7am to 10pm, the courts cater to all levels. First-timers can try a single session for 99rmb or three sessions for 199rmb, then move on to 10-session or 20-session cards (1280rmb and 2280rmb). 1-on-1 and 1-on-2 coaching is available too, all pricing transparent on the mini program. It has clean bathrooms, bright changing rooms, and a lounge area with couches for pre- or post-session downtime, though there are no showers.
The vibe is stripped-back: a quiet place to hit balls, improve your timing, or unwind after work. Outside, Wuding Lu hums with cafés and casual traffic. Inside, it's just you, the walls, and the sound of the ball bouncing.
