Starting Tuesday, Green Initiatives will have loads of events because it’s World Environment Day (not to be confused with Earth Day) and author Andy Couturier will be in town for all of June. Andy is an award-winning essayist, poet, teacher and author of the new book 'The Abundance of Less.’ If you want to learn more about living with less and doing right by the earth, full instructions ahead.

*** In honor of World Environment Day, there'll be a discussion on how to bring balance to your life and the global ecosystem with Andy Couturier. Early bird tickets start at 55rmb, at the door it's 100rmb. Will run from 6.30-9pm. And if you miss it, there'll be a repeat event on June 12, more info here. This night's kind of half invite only, there'll be limited spaces open. Here Andy'll be talking about what's missing in the workplace, why people are not engaged at work, and how employers can help. Will be held at Work Wonders in Xuhui, address details after registration. Costs 100rmb and 50rmb at the door. Runs from 6-8pm. Green Initiatives, Green Steps, the Dianshan Lake Art Community (DAC), and Andy Couturier are offering an interactive camp with sailing on Dianshan Lake area with families in mind. Will run from 4-6pm, and costs 650rmb. Wouldn't be complete without mindfulness right? Andy'll teach you how to make more time by practicing mindfulness. The event will be in both English and Chinese, running from 6.30-8.30pm, costs 55rmb early bird, and 100rmb at the door. A doc screening followed by a discussion with Andy.
