KOR Shanghai, the extension of the Taipei venue is finally juuuust about neeeearly ready to open in Wheelock Square. If you haven't heard, it's a very big name lounge from Taipei's theLOOP and Shanghai's own MUSE group that's been teased since earlier this year. We finally got a presser on it. Stand-out phrases: "a refined hip-hop alternative to ubiquitous EDM-fueled nightclubs," "best described as a Super Lounge," "chrome-plated custom-design VOID Acoustics sound system."

Chrome-plated, y'all. Sounds amazing. Shoe-in for hottest lounge of 2020. Hip-hop's taking the crown back! The actual opening date is set for *mumble mumble* but there's a special invite-only sneak preview happening this weekend. "Invite only" sneak previews are the softest of soft openings. The meringue of soft openings. But in case you know someone who might be able to get you in, now's the time to get back to them on WeChat. The rest of us will have to wait a little longer.
