When I first heard about the "Walk in the Park" dinner idea from the folks over in People's Square, I thought to myself "that's a pretty good idea. Sounds kind of like orienteering, only with lots of food and no Welsh mountains"... However, given the lack of lighting along the pathways, rain, mosquitoes and utterly annoying cobblestones, it made Snowdonia seem like, well, a walk in the park. The concept of multi-destination dining is certainly one to capture the imagination. The reality is a little different though... We started off at MOCA where I sampled, from the limited "walking in the park" menu, a not-so-inspiring Parma ham and under-ripe melon. My friend's tuna appeared to have been brought up, not in water like most traditional fish, but in a vat of crushed peppercorns which threatened to overcome not only the flavour of the fish, but also anyone within a one meter radius. Still, the view was pretty good. Settling a 68rmb bottle of Perrier water bill was not.
