SinoUnited Health’s 2025 International Medical Forum wrapped with global experts converging in Shanghai to explore breakthroughs in CAR-T therapy, women’s full life-cycle health, and AI-driven medical innovation. A full day of keynotes, roundtables, and real patient stories highlighted how China’s fast-rising medical capabilities are shaping the future of global healthcare.

On November 28, 2025, the SinoUnited Health International Medical Forum themed as "China lnnovation in Global Healthcare" was successfully held in Shanghai. The forum brought together renowned medical experts from China and abroad, as well as entrepreneurs and executives from sectors including technology, finance, and education, for insightful sharing and dialogues to explore new trends and innovative practices in global health development.

Focus on Hematology: Decoding Frontier Advances in CAR-T Therapy

As a major center for medical science in Asia, Shanghai, leveraging its profound accumulation and pioneering exploration in the treatment of blood diseases, is increasingly becoming an important medical destination attracting global patients.

CAR-T cell therapy (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Immunotherapy) is a personalized cell treatment. It involves collecting a patient's own immune cells—T cells—genetically modifying them in vitroto enhance their ability to specifically recognize and kill tumor cells, and then reinfusing them.

In May 2025, the SinoUnited Health International CAR-T Cell Therapy Center was officially established. The launch of the center marks China's entry into the global first tier in the field of cell therapy. In just over a year, SinoUnited Health has received inquiries from more than 100 overseas patients globally and has successfully completed CAR-T cell treatment for over 20 patients from countries including New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, and Singapore.

Professor Justin Zhu, Co-Chief Medical Officer of SinoUnited Health, delivered the opening address and shared SinoUnited Health's dedicated philosophy and development vision in the field of hematologic oncology.

The first academic session was chaired by Prof. Hua Shen, Medical President, Shanghai SinoUnited Hospital, Co-Chief Medical Officer, SinoUnited Health. Prof. Zhao Weili from Ruijin Hospital presented a report titled "Improving the Treatment of R/R LBCL in China: Exploration and Perspective".

A special patient sharing session featured Dale De Penning from New Zealand, who shared his story of rebirth. In 2023, as Dale was preparing for retirement, he experienced abdominal pain and major bleeding, leading to an emergency room visit. A biopsy diagnosed him with Stage IV diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The mass, nearly 20cm, was compressing various organs like the ureter, bones, muscles, and intestines, making his condition very critical. Dale underwent three different chemotherapy regimens, all with unsatisfactory results. After careful comparison and consultation, Dale traveled from New Zealand to Shanghai SinoUnited Hospital for CAR-T cell therapy. Now, his indicators have completely normalized; he is not only mobile but can also go sea fishing and hunting in the mountains.

The forum featured two roundtable dialogues, bringing together leading authorities in hematologic oncology from China and abroad. Prof. Jian Hou from Renji Hospital, and Prof. Zhen Cai from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, co-moderated a roundtable titled "CAR-T Future Prospects • Global Collaboration". Safeguarding Health Throughout Lives, Empowering the 'She Era'

In today's world where "the power of women" is flourishing, women's health and well-being have become essential metrics for social progress and harmony. From the uncertainties of adolescence and the challenges of childbearing years to the transition through menopause and the care needed in old age, women face unique health needs at different life stages. This necessitates a shift from traditional, fragmented health services to a consistent, systematic "full life cycle" management approach.

Dr. Kathy Shi emphasized that promoting "Her Health" not only empowers women's personal development but is also a key measure to strengthen the foundation of family health and unleash the social value of "the power of women".
