Things you might not know about Homeslice founder Nat Alexander: He has been DJ'ing for a decade as part of the VOID techno crew; he knows an awful lot about Chinese pig breeds; and he cooks excellent Thai food. In fact, when he was casting about for new ventures after his first restaurant, he was choosing between something Thai and something Pizza. Pizza won, and Homeslice was born. But Alexander has been going to Thailand regularly for more than 20 years and is an accomplished cook in his own right, as those who might remember his Yangjingbang series of Chinese-Western pop-ups will know. It's not all pizza. So this Sunday, he's showing off another side, having some fun with a Thai fried chicken pop-up, and serving two Thai-inspired pizzas alongside. Like the best street carts in Thailand, he's doing a limited amount, so when the fried chicken with sweet chili dipping sauce is gone, that's it. Starts just after noon at the Found 158 store this Sunday, August 2, so get down there early if you want to secure a thigh.
