The news that Hakkasan
is coming back after closing in April
has been floating around the internet for the last day, though the powers that be continue to claim it's not official. Well, it is now. Hakkasan headquarters has confirmed via email to SmartShanghai that the luxe Chinese restaurant "will be re-opening" but they are "unsure when at this time". They are not taking reservations just yet. "Check back closer to September", they say. This comes after the Hakkasan Group hit a major roadblock with COVID, laying off 1,600 employees in Las Vegas alone
and closing restaurants around the world.
