YUYINTOWN has arrived! The new project from the Yuyintang team has been putting in the final touches of their new endeavor this past month — and with the arrival of Specters 3.0 this evening, it's time to get the word out. Located beneath C-Park at West Ya'an Road — the cultural gathering spot adjacent to the Liu Haisu Art Gallery — the subterranean multi-space expanse is quite literally a ‘town' - a full-bodied ecosystem of nightlife subcultures. A collection of music venues, bars, eateries, markets, and even the return of Uptown Records! It's a giddily audacious project that is starting to take beautiful shape.
Operating since the beginning of the month have been Yuyintown CUBE and Yuyintown Basement - two newly minted music venues that can host up to 600 and 200 audience members, respectively. Great sound, great stage, and plenty of live shows for all you gig goers out there. You can even visit the old Yuyintang facade while there. And conveniently located a few meters away is the big and improved Specters - which has become super-sized since leaving Yuyuan Lu — with two floors, ample seating, and a throne-like DJ booth that we can't wait to see in action.
Official opening party is tonight — so hit up a live show next door and roll right over into Specters and congratulate them!
Editor's Note: Oh, and if you're planning your New Year's Eve, YUYINTOWN is throwing a party to ring in 2026. Details here.
