Eat like a king, spend like a pauper
In a nutshell, SmartDeals was inspired by our own user’s demand for dining out, exploring new venues, and who are always appreciative of a good deal. Head over to the Deals section at SmartTicket, and you’ll see what's available for each week. Again, limited tickets available per deal. You can buy your deals with Alipay and WeChat and receive an E-ticket which you can then redeem at the restaurant (unless it’s via Nosh. Nosh comes to you). The idea is, that you get in on some really cool deals around town, without needing to drop 300 RMB on a membership card. It's buy-as-you-go.
We’re doing this quietly, but we’re pretty sure it's going to expand on its own. We've already got spas, gyms, hotels, and vacations that'll be popping up in the near future. Starting modestly with 5 deals this week, and we’ve already got 5 more lined up for next.
Here's what's first, party peeps.
Crafted is that new American Style Bistro right across from 5-Star digs Twelve at Hengshan. The creative talents behind Bistro Burger and Coffee Tree put this together in a tucked away area on Hengshan Lu that is not too dissimilar from Ferguson Lane. Crafted has never done a lunch set-menu before, so we are pleased that they are launching their first, exclusively through SmartDeals. They've got a beautiful terrace to boot if the weather is fine and fair. Only 118rmb.
Sabor is from Madrid's Diego Guerrero who has no less than 3 Michelin stars to his name. To date, this is one of the best fine dining institutions in the city on the level of creativity, finesse, and taste. The deal is for 3 courses of upscale Spanish fare. They are removing the 10% service charge, tacking on a discount, and providing an additional late night happy hour ONLY for SmartDeals guests. For those of you who've been to Sabor, you know this is a steal. Some of the course selections include Blue Mussels, Roasted Suckling Pig, Duck Confit Cannelloni, and more. Only 198rmb.
Lindsey at Happy Buddha wanted to give the vegan community some SmartDeals love. If you haven't been recently, Happy Buddha has some new menu items, and this is a great deal to try. At more than half-off, get two of their new hearty wraps and a juice. They've got a Mexican Kale Wrap, a Caesar Wrap, and a Spicy Seitan Buffalo Wrap (it's spicy, but damn it's good). Only 60rmb.
Heat is providing a romantic set-menu for two people; this place has tables tucked into cubbies for that added privacy to make the meal a bit more romantic. Their French rotisserie fare is served up by Chef Hugo, previously of Chala, and includes a roasted half-chicken, a caesar salad, and their french toast with two glasses of wine to wash it all down. The chicken comes with pairs of plastic gloves so you can break down the fowl yourself. Decent way to gauge what kind of person your date is, long before dessert arrives. All day deal starting at 11 am till close. Only 248rmb.
Whether you have big plans for the weekend or want to detox from the three midnight food deliveries you've had this week, Nosh has a steep discount (60% off!) on a healthy set that will keep you light and nimble to dominate your Friday. For 38rmb, you get an Avocado Wrap paired with Peace Maker's Juice (apple, carrot, and celery which is an anti-inflammatory Elixir - perfect if you want to get rid of those bags under your eyes). Oh, and they've also tossed in their South East Asian inspired Creamy Coconut Rice for dessert. Only 38rmb.
