Wei Jing Ge in the Waldorf Astoria now has some skin in the weekend dim sum game. I had a chance to sample some of the menu this week and was pretty impressed.

The menu, of course, features most of the steam basket standards like har gau and siu mai as well as pan-fried stand-bys like the crispy turnip cake. But they're also doing a few dishes that you won't find elsewhere in town, such as steamed dumplings stuffed with codfish and radish puffs stuffed with chunks of lobster.

Other items are deceptively exotic, like their Hong Kong-style egg tarts. Instead of conventional chicken eggs, Chef Sam Yuen is sourcing the eggs of Guangxi Sea Ducks, which, incidentally, would be a great name for a hockey team.

Anyway, it's all pretty tasty, and at 188rmb+15% for all you can eat, totally worth checking out. For details, click here.
