This Sunday: Feria de Abril at Elefante

Apr 18, 2013 | 12:04 Thu
This Sunday, Elefante celebrates Feria de Abril, an Andalusian spring festival that dates back to the 19th century. It was originally centered around bullfighting. Every year, two weeks after Easter, everybody in Seville would get together in their finest flamenco threads to talk bullfighting, play music, dance, eat tapas, guzzle sherry. Man, the Spanish sure know how to live.

Elefante is attempting to recreate all of this in the restaurant. They're clearing out all of the chairs and tables, bringing in flamenco performers and serving tapas, wine and cocktails at various stations set up throughout the building. Upon admission, you get a bunch of vouchers that can be exchanged for eats and drinks.

They've done similar parties in the past, like their Latin Food Fest back in February and their Star Galaxy Brunch last November. They're loads of fun.

Admission for this one is 200rmb with a pre-sale ticket and 250rmb at the door. And this one will be a marathon, going from noon to midnight. To learn more, click here.
